yeap, there is a sort of such a thing . a dollsalive workspace. i claimed the house basement (only 80cm below ground ) and a small ground level room next to it that i use as my doll room. i used mismatched old furniture that i had around, painted everything white , added a touch of purple and voila! an instant order to the visual chaos.
there is enough storage space, and enough work space. not enough natural light but lots of clean air as it has windows , but they either face north or open to a covered porch.
it is functional and i like working there! of course i dream about a huuuuuge room with a great view and lots of diorama space but i strongly believe that i would fill all of that space immediately and then i would start dreaming about something even bigger...there is no end to that, and every collector knows it.
here we are then...

oh yes, there is a working fireplace. it works exclusively as photo backdrop!

all clean and tidy, lots of space to work , isnt it???

well this is closer to the truth and of course it can get much much worse! currently there is a small mountain of fabric on the left side of the cupboards top, waiting for me to decide which pieces to use. it lays there since october lol!!
